Закон о социальном обеспечении 1986 г.
Британский закон, создавший условия для либерализации сферы пенсионного обслуживания путем разрешения лицам наемного труда отказываться от участия в программах пенсионного обеспечения по месту работы (occupational pension schemes), введенных их работодателями, и учреждать собственные личные пенсионные программы (personalpension schemes). До 1988 г. этот закон не имел полной юридической силы, так как содержащиеся в нем положения о защите прав потребителей были увязаны с появившимся позднее Законом о финансовых услугах 1986 г. (Financial Services Act 1986). Закон о социальном обеспечении 1990 г. стал продолжением Закона 1986 г.; этим Законом вводятся защита прав потребителей в отношениях с пенсионными фондами и учреждение пенсионного Омбудсмана (неофициального органа для урегулирования споров).
